The history of Cork City is built around the River Lee and the access to the open sea. The Cork Docklands will soon undergo extensive redevelopment and the cityscape will change forever. This is a photographic celebration of Cork Docklands which captures the people and places in its present form.
This truly is a very valuable document. Patrick Cummins achieves that rare thing in art of seeing with the eye of the insider but producing with the distance of the artist. I would have to heartly recommend this book and I can only hope Cork make a fuss of it.
